Nitro District
★★★★☆ 4.2
Nitro District is pure arcade racing — no simulation pretenses, just drift, boost, and chase the clock. The handling is forgiving enough that you'll be sliding around corners within a lap or two, and tuning cars actually changes how they feel.
Tracks are short loops through a stylized city, and the nighttime neon look holds up well on an OLED screen. Tilt and on-screen controls are both offered; we settled on the touch buttons for more precise drift timing.
It's not deep, but it's snappy and genuinely fun in short doses. The time-trial ghosts kept us coming back to shave off tenths of a second.
What we liked
- Easy-to-learn drift handling
- Snappy, short race loops
